My Latest Reads & What’s on My TBR

If you’ve been following me you know that during my pregnancy I could just NOT read, but now after having Nellie I have been back in reading mode! I’ve read several books lately and have many on my TBR (to be read) so I thought I would share them with you in today’s post. Whether you like to jump into a whole new fictional world or are looking for a self-help book with some good tips, there’s a little bit of everything here. Let me know if you’ve read any good books lately as I’m always looking for new recommendations!

My Lastest Reads

A Court of Throne and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas: I could not get enough of this series!! They all felt like my friends haha! I did not want these books to end!

Green Lights by Matthew McConaughey: To be completely honest—I did not love
this book. It was part of our book club books so I read it, but I’m really not one to care all that much about celebrities. Don’t get me wrong I think he’s a great actor and the book was entertaining, but it felt a little over the top to me. And I just don’t LOVE celebrities to the point where I feel like reading their books? I don’t know if that makes sense LOL it sounds harsh but…does anyone feel me on this one?

No Two Persons by Erica Bauermeister: Typically not a book I would pick up but this was on my list of books for book club and I really enjoyed it!! A very unique way to write a book—almost felt like a series of interconnected short stories. Thought it was very clever, I really liked it!

The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: How to Stay Emotionally Healthy and Spiritually Alive in the Chaos of the Modern World by John Mark Comer: 10/10!! Absolutely everyone needs to read this book!!! I feel like I will be reading this every year—even every few months. Helped me to slow down and focus on what really matters.

The Maid by Nita Prose: This book was so quirky and cute! It’s described as a cozy mystery and I couldn’t agree more! Such a fun and easy read!

On My TBR

Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas or Crescent City by Sarah J. Maas: I mean with how much I loved ACOTAR I definitely want to read her other books. And people say they are BETTER than ACOTAR which is crazy because I LOOOVED ACOTAR!

Atomic Habits by James Clear: I started this book last year and never finished it—I started it around the time I found out I was pregnant and if you’ve been following me you know that during my pregnancy I could NOT read, I just couldn’t. So now I need to finish this book!

Abby Jimenez new book comes out this spring–Just for the Summer: And I can’t wait. She is by far one of my favorite authors! Yours Truly that came out last year was amazing!!

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson: This is one of my husband’s favorite authors, and honestly one of the most respected and well-known authors so I thought I’d give this book a go and see what all the hype is about.

The Will of the Many by James Islington: This comes highly recommended by several friends—no idea what it’s about but I kind of love just blindly jumping into a book!

Sex Talks by Vanessa Marin: I’ve had this on my TBR for a while and I think it’s time to jump in and read it! I follow Vanessa and Xander on IG (@vanessaandxander) and they share all the fun sex tips! She’s a sex therapist and I’ve learned so much from their account—highly recommend you give them a
follow!
