August is coming to a close which means Labor Day is around the corner! I can’t believe we’re moving into the fall season, but I always love Labor Day because I feel like it’s our last little glimpse of summer before things start transitioning to fall. It’s one of those holidays that I know people usually take a vacation during, go to parties, or just chill around town with friends, so I put together a few Labor Day looks by occasion! By the Water
Whether you’re relaxing by the pool, beach, or any body of water, this casual ‘fit is breezy and comfortable. Add a bathing suit and you’re set! I love this striped button-up and shorts set since it’s so easy to dress up or down or wear as a bathing suit coverup if that’s what you’re looking for. Super cute as separates too! Pair it with these slides (which are almost half off right now), a basic tank like this one, and accessories of choice! I love these sunglasses and hair clips since it’s still pretty sunny and hot outside right now.
Outdoor BBQ
I feel like barbecues are pretty common for Labor Day, but this look will work for any outdoor party. If I’m going to be outside all day I like to keep it pretty simple and casual for daytime parties. If you haven’t tried these high-rise jeans yet, you must! I love that they come in short, regular, and tall lengths so it’s easy to get a good fit. They’re the perfect baggy but not too baggy fit. Since they’re super high-rise I love to pair them with a cute crop top like this hook-and-eye top. For shoes, being outside on your feet all day, we want something comfortable. These sandals have a low heel to give a little lift but will still be easy to wear by the end of the day. Add a neutral purse like this one and some fun, dangly gold earrings and you’re ready!
Brunching
Is it really a long weekend if you didn’t do brunch? Okay, I’ll admit, I don’t go to brunch as much as I’d like to but I love the idea of it and I know it’s a popular weekend event! It’s a great excuse to get a little dressed up, have a mimosa, and bring in all of the weekend feels. When I think brunch I’m using that as a reason to put on a dress! I have this cutout maxi dress and it’s so flowy and flattering. Perfect for a brunch or lunch date. I’d dress it up with these heeled sandals which are on mega sale right now! Plus add some dainty gold jewelry like this bracelet stack. I feel like you don’t need to add too much to this outfit since the dress is the main piece!
