The spring season is officially almost here so I’m making it a priority to continue and start some healthy habits this season! It was a crazy start to the year so with the new season approaching I feel more motivated than ever to get my health and wellness in check. Some of these habits I’ve already been doing and will continue and some are a new thing for me I have just started! I think it’s so important to have a few healthy habits you prioritize and stick to so create your own or try some of mine and we can do it together!
Keep reading for my spring healthy habits and let me know in the comments if you’re starting up any habits of your own this season…
Reading More
I didn’t make a set goal for the number of books I wanted to read, but I realized how happy reading makes me. It’s relaxing and exciting! I also joined a book club with my best friend since 4th grade and it’s honestly one of the biggest highlights every month. I love getting together with a group of women and discussing our book of the month! Stay tuned for a post on the books I’m reading and loving!
Drink More Water
I’ve always been so bad at this! But I realized how much my milk supply truly is related to how much water I’m consuming. So this motivates me to drink more! I’ve also been adding Body Armors into my intake and I love it!
Magnesium Every Night
Recently started this and it’s been a game-changer! It helps me relax and I sleep SO much better! Here is the magnesium I take.
Going on Daily Walks
This is so good for me, my mental health, my dogs, and my daughter. I look forward to it every day! These Hoka shoes are my favorite for this!
Improving my Food Intake
Once I followed a few accounts for quick and easy meals I found that I cook so much more. Here are 3 that I love:
- @plantyou (IG)
- @zack.chug (IG)
- @saltandsagenutrition (TikTok)
Avoiding Alcohol
Not that I was a big drinker back then but I’m trying to find alternatives and getting more mocktails! Overall it makes me feel so much better.
Prenatal Vitamins
These are always important to take if you’re in your reproductive years or if you’re breastfeeding. I take One a Day prenatals.
Being More Intentional with My Time With Cory
It’s so easy to get stuck in the habit of just sitting on the couch and each scrolling through Tiktok separately (don’t get me wrong sometimes this is so fun and we end up laughing for hours!) or get stuck in the habit of only watching Netflix together. So we make the effort to have intentional time together whether that’s going on a walk, cooking dinner, silly dancing, having conversations, or listening to an audiobook or podcast together. It’s helped our marriage and relationship become stronger!
