As a first-time mom, registering for our baby girl was an exciting but also overwhelming experience. With so many baby products on the market, tbh I wasn’t quite sure where to begin. Working as an OBGYN, I’ve heard a lot of amazing recommendations and must-haves over the years, so luckily I had a good place to start. But still, there is so much to think about! After a lot of research and some fun obsessing over allll the cute things, I finally put together a list of must-have essentials and little extras that I think will make my life as a new mom so much easier. From practical items like a high-quality stroller to adorable outfits and nursery décor, I’m excited to share with you what I registered for. So, let’s get into it ladies!
A few of my favorites from the registry:
Sound Machine: So many of my patients swear by this! It provides a soft light for feeding sessions in the middle of the night and white noise to help your baby sleep through the night as much as possible.
The Play Gym: Perfect for tummy time and learning to roll over/sit up! You can also add Sensory Strands (sold separately) to encourage cognitive and sensory exploration and motor skills.
Swaddle UP: A zip-up suit for your baby to be able to sleep with their arms free allowing them to self-soothe. I have heard great things about this and love that it has a zip that comes up from the bottom so middle-of-the-night diaper changes can be quick!
Bottle Warmer: A mommy on the go’s best friend! Makes it so easy to bottle feed especially if you are traveling.
GRACO Stroller: As we all know strollers can be extremely pricey. I have heard great things about this one and it’s $400!
Wrap Carrier: Creates a snug, cozy environment for your baby that mimics the womb. I have heard it may take a couple of tries to figure it out but once you do it’s super comfortable for you and the baby!
Rose Knotted Gown: I had to add this in there because it was just too cute not to! I am so excited to shop all the adorable baby girl clothes.
Dagne Dover Diaper Backpack: I am obsessed with this brand already so when I saw they had a diaper bag, I had to add it to the list!
